HALF-DAY ENRICHMENT

Our Half-Day Enrichment program provides a supportive and inquiry-based environment for students to explore topics of interest, participate in current event discussions, and connect with others while building executive function skills and self-awareness. Facilitators encourage students to take ownership over these activities and provide coaching when students assume leadership roles.

The beginning of each session allows time for transition from school and offers a facilitated social time while students eat lunch. The students connect with each other through facilitated conversations and self-awareness and/or mindfulness activities.

Once the groups is settled, they engage in a guided reading and research time related to current events. The group is an open space for inquiry and discussion where all ideas are welcomed and considered.

Following guided research, students will participate in a daily activity. These activities are facilitated using an inquiry-based learning approach where students generate questions that guide instruction and lead to deep learning. Facilitators provide academic and language supports, access to resources, and foster connections between material and world knowledge.
